Send a 👫and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship // ALWAYS ACCEPTING
Headcanon 001 // Fanboy
Long before they met, Elijah was an unwavering fan who pre-ordered every single one of Elena’s books. He was highly envious of her success because he’d given up his dreams to marry a woman who didn’t love him and start a family he’d never have. Not with her at least. Elena’s books were a beacon in the darkness, a foreshadow of what she would be when they finally met.
Headcanon 002 // Cryptic
After they started seeing one another ( professionally ), he started writing a novel of his own. It was a love story about a man in an unhappy marriage who meets a talented woman that brings him back to life. It started as a journal, but he was scared that Celeste would find it, so he turned it into a novel which was funny seeing as he was certain Elena would be the one writing this one. There’s a passage he read to Elena after he left Celeste initially, subtly proclaiming how he felt about her so as to assure her it was real to him.
Headcanon 003 // Rejuvenate
Both Elijah and Elena picked up old hobbies and habits that they used to enjoy long before they got into their slump. Elijah was playing the piano and cooking for fun again while Elena was writing again. They inspired and supported each other in their own way, and they began to heal together.
Headcanon 004 // Wedding Band
Elijah started taking his wedding band off before their sessions, and once, Celeste caught him without it after he’d forgotten it at the office. He claimed he’d left it on the sink in the bathroom at work. Needless to say, that fight lasted for hours, and Elijah stole away to call Elena and calm himself down. Part of him was thrilled by the idea of never wearing Celeste’s ring again.
